Walking Festival - Dunes at Dawn
Nau Mai Haere Mai – The Walking Festival is back from Saturday 8 April to Sunday 23 April 2023.
Our walk is Dunes at Dawn on 18 April 0630am meet at the Clocktower at New Brighton for a walk along the beach or on the dune track dependant on the tide on the day.

If this is your first time, welcome to the wonderful world of walking. If you’ve joined us before, welcome back.
Whether you’re a fan of local history, getting out into nature, socialising or pushing yourself to get that awesome view, there’s something for all ages and abilities. With over 55 walks across Ōtautahi, Selwyn and Waimakariri, you'll be spoilt for choice.

Join us for a stunning walk watching the
sunrise over New Brighton Beach! Heading
north along the dunes and back along the
beach, watch the sunrise over the sea with
picturesque views of the Kaikōura Ranges,
New Brighton Pier and the Port Hills!
Approx distance: 3km
