What is Pickleball?

Pickleball is a court game, can be played either outdoors or indoors, and it can be played by most ages and abilities.  Play is with two (singles) or four (doubles) players. 

Games are made up on arrival.
New players are welcome with paddles available.

The Eastern Community Winter Sport Cluster has been running since 2015. This year we celebrated our 10 year anniversary of the Cluster with over 1000 tamariki participating in 2025. Over the past 9 years we have had up to 9 schools participate with 10000 tamariki taking part.

The In school PE & sport delivery initiative is one that Eastern Sport has been providing to the New Brighton community since 2011.
We have a strong emphasis on building self confidence, self esteem and co-operation.

TIMA provides physical activities adapted to individual needs. We do this in a safe, fun, inclusive and integrated environment. Professional instructors run school holiday programmes and weekly basketball to small groups of participants aged 8-21 who have a disability. TIMA also provides leadership and educational opportunities for volunteers.

Trumotion provides children a space for music, movement and physical activity through dance.

We work in a way which promotes uniqueness, creativity and community for parents and children and bends social norms through music, movement and dance.

Classes build on our Students’ unique movements, individuality, creativity, thought, movement and dance.

New Brighton Photographic club is based in New Brighton, Christchurch, New Zealand. We welcome new members from any area, who are interested in furthering their photographic skills through competitions, tutorials, speakers and field trips.
