Bring the tamariki down to give football a try!

Come along to our FREE session for tamariki with one of our Participation Activators.

Emphasis is on fun, movement and kicks, adapted games to suit whoever turns up.
Whanau welcome to stay and play along too.
Suitable for 8 years plus if coming alone, younger ones can come and play out on the Astro court if fine with caregivers.

At Thomson Park every Wednesday from 3:00pm to 4:30pm for an afternoon filled with fun.
Suitable for Year 5-8 and up and open to all abilities.

Come along to have a go at touch rugby. Learn the skills for the season that is right around the corner. This is for tamariki, coaches and managers so bring the whole team along! Suitable for all ages. No registrations needed! Come along for free.

2025/2026 Team competition starts in OCT and runs through into MAR with a break at Christmas.

The Eastern Community Winter Sport Cluster has been running since 2015. This year we celebrated our 10 year anniversary of the Cluster with over 1000 tamariki participating in 2025. Over the past 9 years we have had up to 9 schools participate with 10000 tamariki taking part.

The In school PE & sport delivery initiative is one that Eastern Sport has been providing to the New Brighton community since 2011.
We have a strong emphasis on building self confidence, self esteem and co-operation.

TIMA provides physical activities adapted to individual needs. We do this in a safe, fun, inclusive and integrated environment. Professional instructors run school holiday programmes and weekly basketball to small groups of participants aged 8-21 who have a disability. TIMA also provides leadership and educational opportunities for volunteers.

Trumotion provides children a space for music, movement and physical activity through dance.

We work in a way which promotes uniqueness, creativity and community for parents and children and bends social norms through music, movement and dance.

Classes build on our Students’ unique movements, individuality, creativity, thought, movement and dance.

New Brighton Photographic club is based in New Brighton, Christchurch, New Zealand. We welcome new members from any area, who are interested in furthering their photographic skills through competitions, tutorials, speakers and field trips.

Gillian runs fun dance classes combining moves from jazz, hip hop and ballet, into fun, simple choreography, set to upbeat dance music of today to get your body moving and sweating.
