IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR EASTERN TOUCH TEAM MANAGERS & PLAYERS  - ORANGE SETTING RULES

  •  Limit is 50 people per gathering so we need to strictly enforce the 1 caregiver per player rule to keep within the limits.
  • Socially distance 2m from others you don’t know
  • No practice/warm ups prior to games on our fields as likely this will blow our numbers. After the game please move away to do your presentations if it is going to be more than 5 minutes post game.
  • Team members are to move directly to the field that they are playing on, sub boxes need to be on the same side.

  • Team Manager/Captain must give a written team list to the referee of your game before the game starts. Player contact details must have: First name, Last name

  • Scanning is essential so please ensure anyone over the age of 12 scan the QR code on arrival at the field

  • Please depart the fields straight after your game.

  • Sanitiser will be available for players before and after the games at the fields

  •  Can you please help us by sticking to the rules as we want to keep the Touch module going and share this with the caregivers of the players so that we are all on the same page.

All players are to enter onto Rawhiti Domain Lower Fields & Thomson Park preferably over 12s wearing a face mask & keep it on until they arrive at their field. The face mask is not worn during the game.

  • Balls have been treated with Zoono which is a special surface protection against Covid-19
  • Only 1 caregiver per child can watch the game but observe 2m distancing, 50 people limit per field.
  • The start times for games has changed. Game 1 will start at 4.00pm-4.30pm, Game 2 will start at 4.40 - 5.10pm, Game 3 will start at 5.20pm-5.50pm.
  • Games will have no half time break, change after 15 minutes on the hooter.

Your support with the above processes is required for us to run the module safely. Thank you for your understanding & support.

CLARIFICATION OF THE NEW RULES

Key rule changes and considerations from a module perspective would be:

• Changes to field markings e.g., 5-metre line is now a 7-metre line (All fields will now be marked with 7 metre lines)

• Players are now expected to retire a fixed distance of seven metres to be onside (This was 5 metres)

• On an intercept by a defending player, the first touch will now be zero (0) touch (This used to be classed as (1) touch)

• As well as significant changes to the sin bin & drop-off procedure (Drop offs are only played on your finals day if the score is tied)
